Bingham Greenebaum Doll names six newly elected partners

Louisville, Ky. – Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP has elected six attorneys to the firm’s partnership, effective Feb. 21, 2016. All were promoted from within the firm following the annual Partners Meeting in Indianapolis. Those elected as partners are:

Jared A. Cox

Jared A. Cox (Litigation) focuses his practice on litigation involving business, employment, tort, insurance, professional liability, construction, and fiduciary/estate disputes. He has also counseled health care clients in the areas of regulatory compliance, peer review, fraud and abuse, and litigation. He practices out of the firm’s Louisville office. Jared is an active member of Defense Research Institute and serves on the Economic Development & Workplace Issues Advisory Committee of Greater Louisville, Inc. Jared has been named a “Rising Star” in the area of Business Litigation by Super Lawyers for 2015 and 2016.

James R. Irving

James R. Irving (Litigation) concentrates his practice in bankruptcy and restructuring, as well as commercial litigation. Jim has experience representing debtors, creditors, committees, trustees and interested third parties in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases, in addition to representing parties in foreclosure proceedings and other litigation. Jim has also practiced commercial litigation with a broad range of experience in state and federal courts and before the American Arbitration Association. He practices out of the firm’s Louisville office. Jim is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and recently helped found the Legal Aid Society of Louisville’s Young Professionals Association.

Alexis B. Kasacavage

Alexis B. Kasacavage (Labor & Employment) represents employers in cases pending in both state and federal court, as well as before state and federal agencies. Alexis also counsels employers on day-to-day employment issues, such as reductions in force, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, sexual harassment, unlawful discrimination, and wage and hour issues. She drafts employment agreements, personnel policies, and separation agreements and releases. In order to help clients avoid litigation, she regularly conducts in-house training sessions for managers, supervisors and employees. Alexis practices out of the firm’s Lexington office. She has served on the Susan G. Komen Lexington Board of Directors since 2014.

William J. Kishman

William J. Kishman (Labor & Employment) represents management parties in matters involving employees and labor unions. Will regularly litigates a broad variety of labor and employment matters, including labor arbitrations, National Labor Relations Board proceedings involving unfair labor practice charges and representation issues, Section 301 lawsuits, wage and hour actions, wrongful discharge cases, and lawsuits involving other labor and employment issues. He also assists businesses with collective bargaining negotiations, union avoidance, employee and supervisor training, and other labor and employment counseling and compliance. He practices out of the firm’s Louisville office. Will is an active member of the Louisville Bar Association and Leadership Louisville.

Reed S. Schmitt

Reed S. Schmitt (Corporate Transactional) has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of estate planning and administration, corporate law and commercial litigation. He has been involved in complex estate administration matters, including will contest litigation and contested guardianship proceedings. His corporate practice includes representing small, family-owned businesses to much larger multi-state corporations. Reed has been involved in the formation of numerous business entities, in the acquisition and reorganization of business entities, and in the process of funding start-up businesses. He has also been involved in the administration of a public offering. He practices out of the firm’s Evansville office. Reed is an active member and Past President of the Evansville Bar Association.

Tonya Vachirasomboon (Corporate Transactional) has extensive experience representing companies, their owners, and their investors in stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, mergers, and other reorganizations. She regularly advises public and private financial institutions on banking regulatory matters, securities law compliance, and mergers and acquisitions. Tonya advises privately held businesses on a wide range of matters including corporate governance, ownership and stockholders issues, business restructuring and commercial contracting. She practices out of the firm’s Cincinnati office. Tonya is a Founding Member of the Thai American Bar Association and a current participant in the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber Women Excel (WE) Lead Program.
