Eagle Creek closes Friday; Eastside opens March 15
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2016) — The Eagle Creek Branch of the Lexington Public Library closes its doors for good at 6 p.m. on Friday and the new Eastside Branch will open on March 15 at 3000 Blake James Dr. (corner of Man o’ War & Palumbo).
Library materials taken out of Eagle Creek can be kept until Eastside opens or returned to another branch in Lexington. Materials should not be returned to Eagle Creek after it closes. All Eagle Creek holds can be picked up at the Tates Creek branch from Feb. 27 to March 14.
The Eastside Branch includes:
- Drive-through to pick up holds & drop off returns
- Fireplace
- Collaborative space
- Expanded children’s area
- Cozy teen space
- Makerspace for hands-on creating
- Wide array of meeting & study rooms
