Population Center Training schedule announced

Courses outline workplace safety practices

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 24, 2016) — The Kentucky Labor Cabinet’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health Education and Training today announced the complete Population Center Training schedule for 2016.

laborThe courses are designed to outline the requirements contained in the various subparts of the general industry and construction standards, covering both safety and health issues.

“Over the last 10 years, the Labor Cabinet has hosted 64 free training seminars attended by more than 21,000 participants across the state,” said Secretary Derrick Ramsey. “These workshops help us effectively and clearly communicate the best workplace safety practices to employers and employees. In the end, Population Center Training has proven essential in our quest to build a safe and robust workforce. We look forward to another year of working hand-in-hand with the people that make up the cornerstone of Kentucky’s economy.”

Classes, which are open to the public, will be held Feb. 29 to March 3 in Louisville, March 28-31 in Lexington, July 11-14 in Gilbertsville, Aug. 8-11 in Bowling Green and Oct. 3-6 in Louisville.
