Mid-Park opens new $3.5M facility in Butler County

Bowling Green, Ky. – Mid-Park, Inc. has opened the company’s newest Service Stamping and Threading (SST) operation in Morgantown, Ky.

SST estimates a total investment of as much as $3.5 million and expects to create 50 new jobs in Butler County over the next three years. This is Mid-Park’s third Kentucky location.

“We are thrilled to become a part of Butler County’s industrial base and part of this community,” said SST division President Joel Bernard. “With the addition of SST’s Morgantown Plant we are able to further enhance our 40 year history of suppling stampings, assemblies, and machined components to a variety of industries while making a positive impact on the lives of Butler Countians.”

Mid-Park’s existing SST facility in Leitchfield manufactures farm gate hardware and offers a variety of contract manufacturing services. They are the largest manufacturer and distributor of farm gate hardware in the United States.

SST’s Morgantown Plant is a manufacturer and supplier of parts for the automotive industry. Those parts include frame, structural and suspension components as well as assemblies.

SST – Morgantown Plant will also add large stamping capabilities, up to 800 tons, to Mid-Park’s production CNC and tool and die, and threading operations.

Originally Rough River Metal Products, SST/Mid-Park was established in 1971. In 1976, Rough River Metal Products expanded employment to three. By 1977 the company had outgrown its location in Western Hardin County and Rough River Metals made the move to Leitchfield and the name Mid-Park Metal Products was born. In 1993 Mid-Park acquired their Clarkson location with the goal to increase production capabilities and introduce new product lines. The expansion of SST/Mid-Park to Morgantown was announced in December 2015.
