Executive director appointed for KentuckyWired project

Frankfort, Ky. – Yesterday, the Kentucky Communications Network Authority unanimously voted to appoint Chris Moore as executive director.

Established in 2015, the Kentucky Communications Network Authority and its governing board manage the KentuckyWired broadband infrastructure project.

A native Kentuckian, Mr. Moore has more than 20 years legal experience in the telecommunications and technology field, most recently with the Federal Communications Commission in Washington D.C. in various positions. Prior to that, Moore worked for the Rural Utilities Service on Capitol Hill and for a major telecommunications company.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Chris Moore’s talent and expertise as the Executive Director of the Kentucky Communications Network Authority,” said the Chair of the Board of the authority, Secretary Scott Brinkman. “His knowledge and public and private sector experience will be of tremendous value as we work to move this important project forward.”

Originally from Henderson, Moore is a graduate of Transylvania University and the University of  Kentucky College of Law.
