Two new commission members also named
FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 4, 2016) — Tandy Patrick has been named chairperson of the Kentucky Horse Park Commission, Secretary of Tourism, Arts and Heritage Don Parkinson announced today.
Patrick, of Louisville, fills a vacant seat. She is an attorney with Bingham, Greenebaum & Doll LLC in Louisville and Lexington. Her term expires Jan. 14, 2020.
“The people of the commonwealth have asked for a change in leadership at the Horse Park and Tandy has proven herself as an exceptional leader,” Parkinson said, “During her previous tenure, Tandy was instrumental in bringing the World Equestrian Games to Lexington. The Horse Park is fortunate to once again have her talent.”
Patrick replaces Alston Kerr who has served as the Chairperson of the Horse Park Commission since 2008.
Parkinson also announced that Rebecca Jordan of Georgetown, and Matt Dedden of Burlington, will serve as members of the Kentucky Horse Park Commission.
