Final two slots up for grabs tonight
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 11, 2016) — Franklin County and Mercer County today advanced to the semifinals of St. Elizabeth Healthcare/KHSAA Girls Sweet Sixteen Basketball Tournament at the BB&T Arena at Northern Kentucky University.
Franklin County (29-4) beat Campbell County 41-38, while Mercer County (30-5) beat Holmes 59-55. The two teams meet at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
In tonight’s other state tournament games, Owensboro Catholic and Murray play at 6:30 p.m., followed by Butler vs. Elizabethtown. The winners of tonight’s games play at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
The championship is at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
