The centers will continue to provide meal and nutrition programs, information assistance, health and wellness programs, social and recreational activities, and educational opportunities. In addition, NKCAC will focus on volunteer and civic engagement opportunities which connect seniors to their communities in positive, productive ways while also improving the physical condition of the centers and the equipment available at each location.

“Our vision is to raise the level of impact we are having on lives of the seniors who attend the centers as well as the communities in which the centers are located,” said Florence Tandy, executive director of NKCAC.

Rhonda Chisenhall has been hired as NKCAC’s senior centers program director, overseeing the Ludlow, Elsmere and Williamstown locations. She has extensive experience in marketing, community engagement, volunteer management and development. She comes to NKCAC after a 23 year career with the American Cancer Society where she held positions in fundraising, state-wide development, marketing and training.
