Toyota job fairs set for Prestonsburg and Hazard

 

HAZARD, Ky. (April 5, 2014) – Jobseekers in the Eastern Kentucky region will have two chances in April to apply for newly open positions at a well-known manufacturing company.

Kelly Services, in partnership with Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Kentucky, will be hosting two job fairs in the region. The first event will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at the Big Sandy Community & Technical College (BSCTC) Prestonsburg campus, 1 Bert Combs Drive. The second will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Kentucky Career Center JobSight in Hazard, located at 412 Roy Campbell Drive.

Toyota is seeking applicants for various positions in Georgetown, Ky. Candidates may apply for various full-time long-term positions paying between $16 and $16.80 per hour.

Interested applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Be able to work first and second shifts

• Be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, standing, walking, repetitive motion, and the use of heavy machinery

• Have a favorable work history

• Have successfully completed pre-screenings

• Be able to commit to a long-term temporary assignment.

Positions will include paid on-the-job training, incremental pay increases, a premium benefits package, paid holidays and paid time off opportunities, a robust bonus program, among other benefits.
