KFC Yum! Center ranked 8th nationally in concert ticket sales

Sold more than 100,000 tickets in first quarter of 2016

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 12, 2016) — The KFC Yum! Center is ranked No. 8 in the U.S. and 22nd in the world for concert ticket sales by venue, according to a report by Pollstar Magazine listing the top 200 venues for the first quarter of 2016. KFC Yum! Center has sold more than 100,000 tickets this quarter. The center had a record-breaking 70,000 fans at four Garth Brooks concerts over the weekend.

The report does not include University of Louisville sporting events or the NCAA Division I Men’s Regional Tournament games hosted at the venue during the first quarter. However, the KFC Yum! Center started off 2016 with a strong showing at a number of events, including Madonna, Blake Shelton and Bruce Springsteen.

“The first quarter of 2016 brought several huge events to the KFC Yum! Center, including the busiest week in the arena’s history when the venue hosted six events in seven days, including megastars Blake Shelton and Bruce Springsteen,” said Dennis Petrullo, general manager of the KFC Yum! Center. “Top-notch talent continues to make the KFC Yum! Center a stop on their tours because not only do fans from Louisville and surrounding cities continue to pack the house, but promoters know that they can expect the staff at the KFC Yum! Center to execute every aspect of the show’s production, ticketing and marketing needs with excellence.”

Upcoming events include Justin Bieber, Cirque du Soleil, R. Kelly, Toby Keith, Cage The Elephant, Selena Gomez, Coldplay and Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas.
