HealthFirst Bluegrass names new CEO

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 15, 2016) — HealthFirst Bluegrass today announced Bob Franko as its new CEO.

20675c6Franko will begin his new post in mid-to-late May. Franko brings more than 20 years of experience to this role, and most recently served as Vice President/National Training Coordinator, Cherokee Health Systems (CHS), a FQHC headquartered in Knoxville TN with a $52 million budget, serving a 14 county area and 75,000 patients.  CHS is best known for its work in integrating behavioral and medical care. Prior to joining CHS, Bob was Vice President, Development and Marketing at Porter-Starke Services, a non-profit community health center servicing northwest Indiana.  Bob also  served as Chair of the HealthLinc Health Center Board of Directors.  He is a published author whose research on patient outcomes and the integration of primary care and behavioral health has appeared in a number of magazines and journals.
