Dinsmore ranked among the 100 Best Law Firms for female attorneys

CINCINNATI, Ohio (April 22, 2016) – Dinsmore & Shohl LLP has been featured on Law360’s list of the best U.S. law firms for women, based on the firm’s female representation at the partner and non-partner levels and its total number of female attorneys.

image002Dinsmore ranked 57th in the 2016 Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys list, moving up 14 spots from last year’s ranking. More than 300 U.S. firms were surveyed about their headcounts to compile this list. Law360 reviewed a number of factors, including the percentage of partners, both equity and non-equity, who are women; the percentage of associate-level attorneys who are women; and the divide between those two. Dinsmore was on par with the industry average of women attorneys and better than the average for women elected to partnership.

“We make it a priority to create an environment that fosters growth and provides a foundation for our female attorneys to advance in their careers. That’s evident by our jump in the rankings for this list. We were also ranked 6th for the Percentage of Women Equity Partners by The American Lawyer in 2015,” said George H. Vincent, Dinsmore’s Managing Partner and Chairman. “While we have made progress, we must focus on how we can continue to attract and support female attorneys.”

Dinsmore offers Women’s Leadership Initiatives throughout the year to provide professional development and networking opportunities for female attorneys. The events are supported by the firm’s Professional Development Committee and are open to all female attorneys at Dinsmore.
