Reba McEntire added to Kentucky State Fair

Will perform Aug. 18

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 25, 2016) — Award-winning artist Reba McEntire will perform on the Kentucky State Fair Main Stage Aug. 18 in Freedom Hall.

“We’re excited to bring Reba to the Kentucky State Fair,” said Steve Kelly, Executive Director of Expositions for the Kentucky State Fair Board. “She’s an extremely popular entertainer. Everyone loves her. It doesn’t matter whether they like country, pop or rock; they’re a fan of Reba.”

A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, McEntire has won 15 American Music Awards, 13 Academy of Country Music Awards, nine People’s Choice Awards, seven Country Music Association Awards, two GRAMMY Awards and is one of only four entertainers to receive the National Artistic Achievement Award from Congress.

Parmalee, nominated for the Academy of Country Music’s New Vocal Duo/Group of the Year Award in 2016, will open for McEntire.

The only other show announced so far is Chris Young and Brett Eldredge on Aug. 28. The State Fair runs from Aug. 18-28.
