FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 27, 2016) – Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Secretary Greg Thomas today announced John-Mark Hack will serve as Commissioner of the Department of Vehicle Regulation.

“John-Mark’s seasoned career and diverse leadership experience will be a great asset for the Department of Vehicle Regulation as well as the Cabinet,” said Sec. Thomas.

Hack served as the first CEO of the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund, president of the Kentucky Tobacco Settlement Trust Corporation and led the effort to diversify Kentucky’s farm economy.

“I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity to join Governor Bevin’s leadership team and the fine women and men who provide the essential public services that touch all Kentuckians through the Department of Vehicle Regulation, along with our partners in the circuit and county clerks’ offices throughout Kentucky,” said Commissioner Hack. “I look forward to working with all involved to make our Department a national model for effectiveness and efficiency.”

John-Mark served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Kentucky where he also completed his Master’s degree in 1992. He earned his bachelor’s from Transylvania University in 1988. He is also a 2010 graduate of Leadership Kentucky as well as a 1997 graduate of the Kentucky Natural Resources Leadership Institute.
