Owensboro organizations teaming up to build two homes

Ground will be broke on Friday

OWENSBORO, Ky. (June 20, 2016) — Owensboro Health and Habitat for Humanity of Owensboro-Daviess County chapter are teaming up to build two homes. The groundbreakings for both homes will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at 906 Hall St. and 910 Hall St. in Owensboro.

The two homes will be constructed simultaneously on land donated by Owensboro Health. The homes consist of a four-bedroom home for the Swanagan family at 906 Hall Street, and a three-bedroom home for the Blevins family at 910 Hall Street. Construction will begin immediately and will continue over the next four months through a combination of work by skilled Habitat for Humanity workers, local volunteer contractors and Owensboro Health employees who volunteer their time.

It will be the 127th and 128th homes built by the Owensboro – Daviess County affiliate of Habitat for Humanity.
