CVG videos help passengers navigate terminal

ERLANGER, Ky. (July 6, 2016) — The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) in partnership with Bright Light, has produced wayfinding videos to help passengers navigate the terminal and concourses when traveling through the airport.

The 10 videos are located on CVGairport.com and are mobile friendly. As CVG is seeing an increase in local passenger traffic, the brief, one-minute clips provide new leisure travelers a planning tool to orient themselves with different areas of the airport prior to their trip, including ticketing, security, international arrival and baggage claim to name a few. Closed captioning is provided for the special needs community and the videos support use of accessibility features on smart devices, including script-only pages and other enabled aids. The videos were filmed using the latest in aerial drone technology and a Ronin stabilizer camera mount.

“We’re committed to innovative solutions to make travel through CVG an unforgettably positive experience for all of our travelers,” said Brian Cobb, vice president of customer experience at CVG. “Using drone technology and Ronin stabilizers, we created these wayfinding videos to give our guests a tool to help them alleviate the ‘unknown’ and take self-guided tours prior to arriving through our front door. The added features of closed-captioning and smartphone voiceover capabilities were used to ensure all guests of CVG are provided with equal access.”

Bright Light, a Cincinnati-based company partnered with CVG to produce the videos.
