LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 6, 2016) — Kentucky Market, hosted by the Kentucky Arts Council and the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea, will be held from Sunday through Tuesday on the third floor of the Lexington Convention Center.

The free event features a curated selection of artwork and specialty items hand-crafted in the commonwealth and available for purchase.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Kentucky Arts Council will also present “Made to Be Played: Traditional Art of Kentucky Luthiers,” which chronicles Kentucky’s rich tradition of instrument making. The exhibit is dedicated to the memory of master luthier, craftsman, instrument inventor and musician, Homer Ledford, and it explores the important role of luthiers in Kentucky music communities.

“Made to Be Played” is located next to the Kentucky Market, and can be viewed any time during the Southern Legislative Conference, from July 9-13.
