Construction continues at Louisville International Airport

Part of $9.5 million project

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 20, 2016) — Construction projects got underway this week at Louisville International Airport. New projects began this week in Concourses A and B, as part of the $9.5 million Louisville International Airport Terminal Enhancement Project.

Beginning Monday on Concourses B, terrazzo flooring will be installed next to Stars of Louisville Restaurant, across from Gates B5 and B7. The restaurant and all gates will be open and accessible. The project is expected to run through August.

Tuesday construction began on terrazzo in Concourse A, next to Gate A5. Chili’s Too and all gates will be open and accessible. The project is expected to run through August.

The new Starbucks in the food court area, directly before the security checkpoint, opened on July 13. Subsequently, its kiosk location next to the Woodford Reserve Bar and Grill has closed in preparation for construction of The Comfy Cow.

As of July 8, The New York Times Books and News is permanently closed as construction begins on the TODAY-branded store, which should open in October. A temporary retail kiosk is open by the construction area in the rotunda, before the security checkpoint. After the Security Checkpoint (Airside Terminal)

Also on July 8, the CNBC News retailer in Concourse B closed for construction of the new WAVE 3 NBC Travel Store, which should open in October. During construction, a temporary retail kiosk is open across from Gate B9.
