PIKEVILLE, Ky. (July 21, 2016) — Barry Bentley has been named vice president for finance and business affairs at the University of Pikeville. Bentley has more than 25 years of comprehensive experience in finance, consulting and accounting management for both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations.
Bentley was the vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Broadcasting, Inc., where he provided leadership in finance, accounting and facilities management for WFYI Public Media, the Indianapolis affiliate of PBS and NPR.
Bentley’s diverse background in finance also includes cash management, lender/creditor negotiations, budgeting/forecasting, project management, investment analysis and facilities and real estate management.
A certified public accountant, Bentley earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and management and his Master of Business Administration from Anderson University in Anderson, Ind.
Bentley and his wife have two children, Jessica and Tyler, and a granddaughter, Ayla.
