RecruitMilitary will host Veteran Career Fair Aug. 18

The military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary will produce a Veteran Career Fair at Paroquet Springs Conference Center in Shepherdsville, Ky. from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18.

“RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment,” said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson. “Just last year, 56.3% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair and employers were expected to extend as many as 38,700 interviews and more than 12,000 job offers.”

In April of 2016, the RecruitMilitary Louisville event connected more than 122 veteran job seekers with 40 exhibitors, including Hearst Television, KentuckyOne Health and Walgreens. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 234 interviews and make up to 50 job offers as a result of that career fair.

RecruitMilitary, which is veteran owned and operated and is based in Loveland, Ohio, has produced veteran job fairs since 2006, and has held 6 events in Louisville, drawing 1,353 attendees and 219 exhibitors. The company has produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country.

Among those companies attending the upcoming Louisville event are Beam Suntory, Inc., Lockheed Martin Corporation, McDonald’s Corporation, Sears Holding, Humana, ACBL, Campari America – Wild Turkey Distillery, Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group, Cincinnati Bell Inc., Colonial Life, Combined Insurance, Comcar Industries, Computershare, Eby-Brown, Faurecia, First Command Financial Planning, Garage Force, Heavy Construction Academy, Heavy Equipment College of Georgia, Hosparus, Integrity Staffing Solutions, Inc., Justice AV Solutions (JAVS), New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, Inc., Roadmaster Drivers School, Teleperformance, The Home Depot, Troops to Teachers and Veteran Franchise Center.
