The Bottom Line: Grimes to speak on behalf of Clinton at Ky. Chamber forum

Ahead of the 2016 presidential election, Kentucky’s Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes has been confirmed to speak about the campaign of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton at the Kentucky Chamber’s first Congressional Forum on August 29 in Louisville.

Grimes will speak about Clinton’s policies and campaign in front of the business community during the lunch portion of the Congressional Forum agenda.

The Kentucky Chamber is awaiting confirmation from a Republican speaker to discuss the campaign of Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Each side will present their arguments for the candidates separately before participating in a question and answer segment of the lunch time program.

The Kentucky Chamber’s inaugural Congressional Forum will give the business community access to legislative leaders and a chance to hear detailed accounts of the issues happening at the federal level without leaving the comfort of Kentucky.

Featured speakers will include Kentucky U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, U.S. Rep. Andy Barr of Lexington, U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth of Louisville, U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie of Bowling Green and retiring U.S. Rep. Ed Whitfield of Hopkinsville.

This Forum is set for Monday, August 29 at the Galt House in Louisville beginning at 8:30 am and concluding after the luncheon featuring the speakers discussing the elections and how they impact Kentucky.

The Kentucky Chamber will also be unveiling a federal agenda detailing the federal issues most important to Kentucky’s business community.
