UofL’s Conn Center to plant hemp Tuesday on Belknap Campus

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2016) — The J.B. Speed School of Engineering and its Conn Center for Renewable Energy Research will begin planting hemp for scientific and educational purposes at 10 a.m. on Tuesday near its Phoenix House offices on Eastern Parkway.

UofL is the only Kentucky university focusing on hemp as a supplement to or replacement for fossil fuels, the university said.
