Auto parts manufacturer wants to expand in Bowling Green, create 44 jobs

Buffalo Trace looks to expand Frankfort operation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (Aug. 25, 2016) — American Howa Kentucky, Inc. plans to invest $7,586,727 to expand production in Bowling Green. The automotive parts supplier says expansion would create 44 jobs at an average salary of $18.

Other investments:

  • Buffalo Trace Distillery, Inc. in Frankfort plans to invest $6.5 million to expand operations to meet the growing demands of customers. The project would involve an expansion to its barrel storage warehouse.
  • Gibbs Die Casting Corporation in Henderson plans to invest $10 million in expansion. The company, one of the world’s largest die casting companies with multiple global locations, is at full utilization and is in need of both casting and machining capacity expansions to support further business growth. In addition to production equipment, significant facility enhancements are necessary to advance its technology. Expansion is expected to create 20 immediate jobs and 46 jobs within two years.
  • Master Engineering, Inc. dba Piccola Manufacturing Co., a machine shop in Shepherdsville, plans to invest $2.75 million to expand its plant by 30,000-square feet and office space by 4,800-square feet. The company, which has tripled in size since 1986, will use the additional space to increase its workforce in Bullitt County.
  • Graf Brothers Flooring, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of rift and quartered hardwood flooring, plans to invest $1.629 million to expand operations by constructing two new buildings, a manufacturing facility to produce Lamellas used in engineering wood flooring and another facility for warehousing and shipping. Expansion would create 20 new jobs in South Shore.
