‘Kentucky Trained. Kentucky Built.’ to be launched Wednesday

Initiative is an apprenticeship program

SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 6, 2016) —  Gov. Matt Bevin, Labor Secretary Derrick Ramsey and officials from Roll Forming Corporation in Shelbyville on Wednesday will announce a new apprenticeship program, “Kentucky Trained. Kentucky Built.”

The announcement will take place at 10:45 a.m. at Roll Forming Corporation, 1027 Brooks Industrial Rd.
 in Shelbyville.

The initiative sets forth a goal to increase awareness of the benefits of apprenticeship programs by committing new energy and resources aimed at strengthening all 1,100 current apprenticeship partnerships across the state, in addition to working with prospective new employers.
