Spent 10 years as TV reporter
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 29, 2016) — Ben Jackey has been named director of marketing, public relations and special projects at Jefferson Community and Technical College, effective Sept. 28.
Jackey will be responsible for the management of college communications and public relations campaigns, projects and events.
Prior to his appointment at JCTC, Jackey worked at Jefferson County Public Schools where he oversaw media and public relations in addition to video production. He has been a television news journalist for ten years and has received Emmy awards from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Jackey, a Louisville native, attended DeSales High School, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Broadcasting and Electronic Media.
