Investing $2.3 million in project
JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (Sept. 23, 2016) — Silver Creek Leather Co. plans to invest $2.3 million in moving to a larger 30,000-square-foot building in Jeffersonville, Ind. that will create 25-30 full-time jobs in addition to the 45 currently employed. The new space is 25 percent larger than the current facility.
“After years of significant growth and several expansions, we have acknowledged our current space is simply too small to meet our current requirements and future development,” said owner Greg Sartor. “Since we will own the new building, and there is room for further expansion, we feel the company will be poised for new opportunities when they are presented to us.”
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered the Silver Creek Leather Co., LLC, a grant of up to $40,000 from the Skills Enhancement Fund which provides assistance to businesses to support training and upgrading skills of employees required to support new capital investment.
