EKU closed Somerset branch this year
RICHMOND, Ky. (Sept. 27, 2016) — Eastern Kentucky University, which closed its Somerset campus earlier this year, will continue to offer upper-division criminal justice courses in classrooms on the campus of Somerset Community College. The Somerset campus was closed as part of budget cuts.
“We are very grateful to Somerset Community College and their administration for granting us this opportunity to serve EKU students who were working to complete a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice,” said Dr. Ryan Wilson, director of regional programming for EKU “This partnership will benefit both institutions. Most importantly, it will benefit students in the Somerset area who wish to earn an associate degree in criminal justice at SCC and go on to complete a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice through EKU.”
