LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 29, 2016) — Springbuk Analytics, an Indianapolis-based health analytics company, has ranked five Kentucky companies among its Healthiest 100 list of 2016 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America. Humana Inc. was ranked fourth, Norton Healthcare seventh, LG&E and KU Energy LLC 53rd, Keller Williams Realty International 72nd and Yum! Brands, Inc. 99th.

More than 5,000 employers applied for the award. The winning organizations were honored this week in Washington D.C.

Award applicants were evaluated across six key categories: Vision, Culture/Engagement, Learning, Expertise, Metrics and Technology. Applicants were evaluated with the proprietary Healthiest Employer Index, a 1-100 metric for wellness programming. These organizations have achieved lasting success through a wide array of employee wellness initiatives and corporate wellness programs.

The Healthiest 100 uses a two-part scoring process. First, employers complete the Wellness Assessment at HealthiestEmployers.com. The Assessment is administered on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year in 45+ cities and metropolitan regions across nearly 40 states.

Applicants are scored with The Healthiest Employers Index (HEI), a 1-100 metric that addresses the six critical dimensions of workplace wellness: culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, annual planning, communications and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis.

Based on the HEI, top ranking semi-finalists are invited to participate in the second stage of the awards contest. These employers complete a similar online instrument to further measure their worksite wellness program.
