Nearly 25,000 RiverLink local transponders ordered for Ohio River Bridges toll roads

Tolling expected to begin in December

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 11, 2016) — More than 10,000 RiverLink accounts have been opened and nearly 20,000 RiverLink local transponders and 5,000 RiverLink E-ZPass transponders have been requested for the new all-electronic tolling system for the Louisville – Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project. Tolling is expected to begin in December.

image004RiverLink local transponders passes are free of charge per each registered vehicle. The sticker, which adheres to the windshield, is non-transferable and will work only on local tolled bridges.

RiverLink E-ZPass transponder are portable from vehicle to vehicle registered to a single account and work in all 16 E-ZPass states.

Drivers can open a personal account online at www.RiverLink.com, by phone at 855-RIV-LINK or in person at one of two RiverLink customer service centers. A personal account can include up to four vehicles, with a minimum balance of $20 to open the account.

Customer service centers are located at 400 East Main St. in Louisville and 103 Quartermaster Ct. in Jeffersonville. Centers are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
