College Scholarship Day Friday at Keeneland

Ten $1,000 scholarships to be awarded

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 13, 2016) — College Scholarship Day at Keeneland is scheduled for Friday. Admission is free with a college ID. Full-time students can register to win one of ten $1,000 scholarships and prizes from local vendors awarded after each of the day’s races.

The first 2,000 students to register will receive a Keeneland College Scholarship Day T-shirt courtesy of Kennedy’s Wildcat Den or a Southern Proper hat. Students can pre-register online at www.keeneland.com/csd. Preregistering qualifies students to win a Keeneland box for Oct. 27. Pre-registration closes at 11:59 p.m. tonight. On site registration begins at 11 a.m. on Friday. The first post is at 1:05 p.m.

The scholarship has distributed a total of $582,000 at tracks statewide, including $282,000 at Keeneland, since 2002.

• Race 4 (2:45 p.m.) — $1,000 scholarship; Bluetique $300 gift card, City Barbeque $300 gift card.
• Race 5 (3:18 p.m.) — $1,000 scholarship; Kentucky for Kentucky prize package, Noodles and Company gift card.
• Race 6 (3:51 p.m.) — $1,000 scholarship; Sleep Outfitters Pillow Set, Pandora Jewelry Set
• Race 7 (4:24 p.m.) — $1,000 scholarship; Costa Sunglasses, Summit Salon Academy prize package, Omar and Elise prize package.
• Race 8 (4:57 p.m.) — $1,000 scholarship; Campus Quilts T-shirt Quilt Kit, American Campus Communities prize package.
• Race 9 (5:30 p.m.) — $1,000 scholarship; Raising Cane’s prize package, Cabela’s prize package.
• Race 10 (6:03 p.m.) — $1,000 scholarship; Local’s prize package, Proof Fitness Gift Certificate.
