Fort Knox Federal Credit Union board chair honored by Kentucky Credit Union League

Awarded 2016 Steve Brody Outstanding Volunteer

FORT KNOX, Ky. (Oct. 19, 2016) — Fort Knox Federal Credit Union Chairman of the Board of Directors Richard L. (Dick) Ardisson was named the 2016 Steve Brody Outstanding Volunteer by the Kentucky Credit Union League during the league’s annual meeting and conference in Louisville.

Ardisson was first elected to the board in May 2005. As chairman of the Board’s Governance Committee from May 2009 to May 2011, he co-authored the current Credit Union Governance Policy, which revamped and improved the governance model by clearly defining supportive and complimentary roles for the board and the chief executive officer.

“Dick’s outstanding contributions to Fort Knox Federal have greatly enhanced our continued growth, advancement and financial strength,” said Ray Springsteen, president and CEO. “Along with his fellow board members and the professional staff, he has worked diligently to improve the financial fitness of fellow credit union members. And throughout his tenure on the board, he has remained devoted to his credit union duties.”

Ardisson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Marshall University and a master’s degree in public administration from Western Kentucky University.

He served in the U.S. Army for 23 years on active duty retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He was also a defense contractor supporting the Army at Ft. Knox as a Site Manager for 18 years.
