Cabinet for Economic Development acting secretary Erik Dunnigan has submitted his resignation to the Governor, effective Nov. 16.

Several weeks ago, Dunnigan was approached concerning a significant opportunity in the private sector, which he felt was the right move – both personally and professionally.

After much deliberation and discussion with his family, he informed the Governor of his decision.

The Kentucky Economic Development Partnership Board is continuing its search for a permanent secretary. After it concludes its search, the board will submit the names of three finalists to the Governor, and the Governor will make the final selection from the list of the three finalists.
