career_hack_social_media3LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 4, 2016) — Looking for 10 easy ways to advance your career?

Alumni Career Services, a program of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association, and UK Human Resources Staff Career Development will host “Career Hacks: 10 E-Z Ways to Advance Your Career Game” from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the King Alumni House, 400 Rose St. in Lexington.

The program is designed to increase productivity and career satisfaction with simple fixes. Each “career hack” is relatively easy to implement by itself, and collectively, their influence can change the way one works and progresses over the long haul.

Presenters Diane Kohler of Human Resources and Caroline Francis of the Alumni Association have over 50 years of career counseling experience and have seen what successful people do that distinguishes them from the rest. In this fast-paced and engaging night, they will share 10 essential career moves that will help navigate the progression of your career.

This session is targeted toward early to mid-career professionals who have the uneasy feeling they may already be stuck or “falling behind” yet are not sure what they should be doing to progress.

The cost is $10 for members and current UK employees and $15 for non-members. Parking is available behind the King Alumni House and light snacks will be served. To register, go to www.ukalumni.net/careerhacks.
