LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 7, 2016) — The Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation, part of KentuckyOne Health, honored Stephen Hillenmeyer at this year’s National Philanthropy Day luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 1. Hillenmeyer is the current board chair of the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation. Hillenmeyer and his family have been long-time supporters of Saint Joseph Hospital.

Hillenmeyer’s contributions and leadership to the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation are far-reaching. Saint Joseph Hospital just celebrated the opening of a beautiful new Giving Garden that Hillenmeyer helped make possible.

“We are incredibly grateful for Stephen Hillenmeyer’s many generous contributions that have brought wellness, healing and hope to thousands of patients and their families,” said Leslie Smart, CFRE, division vice president of development, KentuckyOne Health.

The annual National Philanthropy Day luncheon recognizes individuals or groups who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the community through philanthropic endeavors. The Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation was among 25 organizations that honored their top philanthropists at the annual event, hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Bluegrass Chapter. More than 400 people attended the event at Marriott Griffin Gate.

Hillenmeyer’s sons, Chase and Seth Hillenmeyer, were on hand to celebrate the award with Foundation leaders.
