Mare in foal to War Front nets $3.5M on first day of Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 8, 2016) — Group 2 winner Secret Gesture (GB), in foal to War Front, brought $3.5 million an hour after the start of today’s opening session of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. The 5-year-old daughter of Galileo (IRE) was consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent.

Grade 3 winner Tapicat, in foal to Pioneerof the Nile, sold for $2.2 million. Three Chimneys Farm, agent, consigned the 6-year-old mare.

Grade 1 winner My Conquestadory, in foal to Tapit, sold for $1.5 million to SF Bloodstock and Australia’s New Gate Farm.

A 5-year-old daughter of Artie Schiller, My Conquestadory won Keeneland’s 2013 Darley Alcibiades (G1). She was consigned by Lane’s End, agent for the Complete Dispersal of Conquest Stables LLC.

My Conquestadory’s first foal, a weanling colt by Tapit, sold for $410,000 to S. L. P. H.

Several minutes later, Peace and War, in foal to Tapit, sold for $1.45 million to Katsumi Yoshida. A 4-year-old by War Front, Peace and War won the 2014 Darley Alcibiades. She was consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent.

Bringing $1.4 million from Mandy Pope’s Whisper Hill Farm was Princesa Silvia, a winning 3-year-old half-sister to Horse of the Year and successful sire Saint Liam. By Medaglia d’Oro, Princesa Silvia was consigned by Three Chimneys Farm, agent.
