LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 9, 2016) — Forty-five Kentucky counties had voter turnouts 60 percent or higher during Tuesday’s election, according to data from the Secretary of State’s office.
Overall, 58.96 percent of Kentucky’s registered voters cast ballots. Of the 3,306,120 Kentuckians registered to vote, 1,949,214 voted.
Spencer County led all 120 counties with a voter turnout of 67.88 percent. Of the 14,146 registered voters in the county, 9,603 cast ballots. Woodford County (67.22 percent) had the second highest turnout, followed by Marshall and Oldham counties (66.48) and Franklin County (66.18).
