Ann Evans hired as executive director of the Ronald McDonald House

image001LEXINGTON, Ky.– Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass Board of Directors have recently hired Ann Evans as the executive director.

Ann Evans, a Lexington resident and Kentucky native, served most recently as the executive director of the Kentucky Governor’s Mansion from Dec. 2007-2015. In addition, she has served as director of volunteers and regional director for the American Lung Association of Kentucky. Throughout her career
she has managed events and has 35 years of catering experience in the Central Kentucky region.

“We are pleased to add Ann to our team,” Board President Alanson Boden said. “The services of the Ronald McDonald House impact the health and well-being of children and their families by keeping them together in times of medical need. The organization exists to assist families during their most vulnerable and stressful times. Ann’s long career in our region, her experience in fundraising and working with volunteers, and her network of colleagues and friends throughout the business community, will be wonderful for us, but Ann’s compassion and energy, are what really made her a great fit for the Ronald McDonald House organization.”

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass celebrates 32 years of service to the children and families of the Bluegrass and beyond.

“I hope to raise awareness of the extraordinary efforts being carried out by the organization, not just in Central Kentucky, but also Eastern Kentucky. I want everyone in Kentucky, no matter where they live, to be aware of the mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and offer them the chance to be a part of the organization’s — supporting children and their families,” says Evans.
