Gov. Bevin makes appointments to boards and commissions

Eight appointments announced

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 29, 2016) — Gov. Matt Bevin has made appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions.

Appointments:

  • Thomas D. Baxter has been appointed to the Board of Respiratory Care. Baxter, of Melbourne, is a program director at Northern Kentucky University. Baxter shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2019.
  • Ken DeLane McKenney has been appointed to the Board of Respiratory Care. McKenney, of Bowling Green, is the Respiratory Care Director and an associate professor at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Techical College. McKenney shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2019.
  • Robert Edward Beaty has been appointed to the Board of Respiratory Care. Beaty, of Shelbyville, is a respiratory care practitioner at Passport Health Plan. Beaty shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2017.
  • Tommy J. Fridy has been appointed to the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. Fridy, of Sebree, is an attorney. Fridy shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 21, 2020. He will represent Western Kentucky.
  • Karen Lynn Leek has been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy. Leek, of Verona, is a radiologic technologist at Northern Kentucky University. Leek shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2020. She will represent general diagnostic radiography.
  • Sharon Lynn Whitaker has been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy. Whitaker, of Irvine, is the Radiology Director at Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital. Whitaker shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2020. She will represent educators/administrators.
  • Jaime Warren has been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy. Warren, of Louisville, is the Director of Norton Healthcare. Warren shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2020. She will represent licensed nuclear medicine technologists.
  • Amy Adkins has been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy. Adkins, of Winchester, is the Radiology Director at Baptist Health Lexington. Adkins shall serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2020. She will represent post-primary certification.
