WKU football coach accepts head job at Purdue

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 5, 2016) — Jeff Brohm, who has led Western Kentucky to a 30-10 record in three seasons as head football coach, has accepted the same position at Purdue University.

WKU went 10-3 this season, winning the Conference USA championship and earning a date against Memphis on Dec. 20 in the Boca Raton Bowl.

WKU also won the conference last year and has been to bowls in all three years while he was at the helm. Purdue finished last in the Big 10 this year, going 1-8 in conference and 3-9 overall.

Purdue University reports that Brohm’s contract, a six-year agreement, is pending approval by the Purdue Board of Trustees. A press conference was announced for 3 p.m. today.
