Start date for RiverLink tolling to be announced on Tuesday

For Louisville – Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Dec. 12, 2016) — RiverLink officials on Tuesday will announce the expected start date for tolling on the Louisville – Southern Indiana Ohio River Bridges Project.

image002RiverLink is all-electronic tolling, with no toll booths, no coin machines, no lines and no stopping. The lowest toll rates are for drivers with transponders. Drivers must set up a prepaid account to get a transponder.

The announcement will occur at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the RiverLink Customer Service Center, 103 Quartermaster Court, in Jeffersonville, Ind. Scheduled to attend the meeting are Clint Murphy, Indiana Department of Transportation director of tolling oversight and RiverLink spokesperson Mindy Peterson.

The new Abraham Lincoln Bridge, the improved Kennedy Bridge and the new East End bridge will be tolled. The Sherman Minton Bridge and the Clark Memorial Bridge will not be tolled in connection with the project.
