Will play UCLA in 2017 in New Orleans
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 13, 2016) — The University of Kentucky basketball team will compete in the CBS Sports Classic for at least three more years, the network announced today. No. 6 UK plays No. 7 North Carolina in this year’s event on Saturday at approximately 5:45 p.m. in Las Vegas. The game follows the 3 p.m. contest between No. 2 UCLA and Ohio State.
In 2017 the event will be played in New Orleans on Dec. 23. UK will play UCLA and Ohio State will play North Carolina.
While places and dates have not been announced for 2018 and 2019 UK will play North Carolina in 2018 and Ohio State in 2019.
