28-year veteran
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Dec. 15, 2016) — Nina Hockensmith has been named director of the Division of Environmental Program Support (DEPS), Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection Commissioner Aaron Keatley announced.
Hockensmith, a 28-year veteran of the Department for Environmental Protection, spent the first part of her career in the Division for Air Quality. In 2012, she joined DEPS and over the last year has led the division as acting director.
As an agency, DEPS provides multiple important support functions, including human resource management, budget development, financial support, laboratory analysis, information technology, facilities management, and employee safety.
She is a native of Frankfort and has one son and a granddaughter.
