Louisville’s ARGI named a 2016 “101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For”

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Dec. 16, 2016) – ARGI Financial Group, a Louisville-based wealth management firm, is one of 2016’s “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For,” according to the National Association of Business Resources.

The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® competition recognizes companies that deliver outstanding human resource practices, and notable commitment to their employees. Organizations are assessed based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition and others. Only 101 organizations receive this award each year.

“On behalf of the entire firm, I am so honored that ARGI has been recognized as one of the nation’s best companies to work for,” said Joe Reeves, CFP®, and CEO of ARGI. “We started this company with the mission to improve the lives of everyone affiliated with our firm. That includes our clients, our community and most of all each other. We would not be the company we are today without the tireless dedication, hard work and all around great team members that ARGI has come to know and love.”

For many ARGI employees, company culture is a huge part of what makes the organization different. It’s not just about friendly coworkers, a team-oriented environment and quarterly social events. ARGI employees are a part of a community of educated and motivated professionals who are able to voice their opinions and ideas in a positive, supportive setting.

ARGI employees at all levels and tenure are encouraged to participate in one of five core value committees which are Commitment, Teamwork, Innovation, Personal Service and Education. These committees were designed to be a platform for any ARGI employee to have a meaningful voice in the vision and direction of the company.

“Our company has always been committed to delivering personal service,” said Lauren Powell, HR Manager for ARGI, ”and that commitment starts with maintaining a corporate culture that empowers our employees to focus on teamwork, innovation, and personal and professional growth. Our success at ARGI is a result of the talent and hard work of our employees, and their dedication to upholding our culture.”

In 2016, ARGI grew its workforce more than 25%, and company leaders attribute that to not only explosive company growth, but to newly implemented employee recognition programs, competitive benefits packages and a corporate social responsibility program, ARGI Gives. Through this program, employees have the option to take advantage of 6 paid days of volunteer time off. As well, ARGI Gives began a 100% employee-governed and employee-funded community grant program which supported nearly $35,000 in grants to 18 area nonprofits and charities in its first year of existence.

Over the past two decades, ARGI has grown to over 120 employees and seven offices with locations in Louisville, KY; Bowling Green, KY; Elizabethtown, KY; Cincinnati, OH; Indianapolis, IN; Grand Rapids, MI; and Norwalk, CT. ARGI currently manages more than $1 Billion in assets, and has averaged at least 25% growth over the past several years. They’ve made the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America for eight consecutive years (2009- 2016)*, and most recently were named the 2016 Louisville Business First Company of the Year – Medium Category.
