Joker Phillips to be wide receivers coach
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 3, 2017) — Former University of Kentucky football coach Joker Phillips will reportedly be the wide receivers coach at the University of Cincinnati.
Luke Fickell, an assistant at Ohio State since 2002, recently was named head coach at UC. Phillips spent last season on the coaching staff at Ohio State.
Phillips was an assistant coach at UK from 2003-2009, before being named head coach in 2010. In three seasons he went 13-24.
He then coached for the University of Florida and the Cleveland Browns, before taking a position last season with Ohio State. Phillips, who attended UK from 1981-84, also served as an assistant for the Wildcats from 1988-96.
