For construction of rail spur
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 18, 2017) — The Department for Local Government approved funding for a $997,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for construction of a rail spur off of the CSX railroad’s mainline to serve the Fritz Winter North America LP automotive parts plant to be constructed in the Wilkey North Industrial Park in Franklin.
The CDBG program provides assistance to communities for use in revitalizing neighborhoods, expanding affordable housing and economic opportunities, providing infrastructure and/or improving community facilities and services.
