Gov. Bevin appoints magistrate for Fleming County

Former magistrate resigned

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 18, 2017) — Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed Theresa Ann Rinehart, of Flemingsburg, as magistrate for the Third District of Fleming County, to replace John Sims, Jr., who has resigned.

Rinehart attended St. Mary of the Plains College (Kan.) and Maysville Community College before embarking on a teaching career at St. Patrick High School in Maysville. She and her husband John reside on a farm in Fleming County and have two adult sons and two grandchildren.

Rinehart will serve until the position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2018 midterm election, pursuant to the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.
