LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 19, 2012) — The Bluegrass Sports Commission (BSC) today announced that Fruit of the Loom has signed on to be the official apparel sponsor of the Bluegrass State Games, presented by Subway Restaurants.
“Fruit of the Loom is excited to be part of the Bluegrass State Games,” said John Shivel, Corporate Communications for Fruit of the Loom. “We are proud to be based in Kentucky and proud to support the thousands of Kentuckians and their families as they compete in the games this year.”
Fruit of the Loom will be providing t-shirts to the more than 16,000 expected participants of the Games. Fruit of the Loom also will be partnering with the event to promote its brand and distribution outlets to the more than 80,000 participants, families and spectators involved with this year’s event.
The Bluegrass State Games is a great way to stay active this summer and compete for medals against people from all over the state. The games started in 1984 under then-Gov.Martha Layne Collins and have continued to grow ever since.
