Scholarship created at Murray State University for chemistry, physics and math students

Will be awarded in fall 2018

next-logo-300x149MURRAY, Ky. (Feb. 2, 2017) — The James Frank & Patricia Ann Wilson Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics Scholarship Endowment has been created at Murray State University. James and Ann are graduates of Murray State. The endowment already has a balance of $200,000.

“The endowment will benefit our students in chemistry, physics and math for generations, and will help them realize their professional goals upon graduation,” said Dr. Stephen Cobb, dean of the Jesse D. Jones College of Science, Engineering and Technology. “Mr. and Mrs. Wilson are great examples of loyal Racer alumni who are giving back so that others can be successful.”

To be applicable, students must be a full-time junior or senior at Murray State majoring in chemistry, physics or mathematics. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Preference will be given to graduates of Murray High School.

Students will be able to apply for the scholarship in fall 2017 and receive the benefits in fall 2018.
