24 spots available in fall
FLORENCE, Ky. (Feb. 14, 2017) — The Gateway Community & Technical College nursing program will expand in August by adding a fall 2017 cohort of 24 nursing students.
“As the economy shifts and healthcare evolves, the need for nursing in the community is at an all-time high. Gateway Community & Technical College recognizes this need and continues its commitment to nursing excellence in Northern Kentucky,” said Melani Stephens Stallkamp, Gateway Nursing program director. “This new cohort gives us the opportunity to serve more students and help them achieve their dream of becoming a nurse.”
Selection for the fall class will take place later this year.
Also, the Kentucky Board of Nursing announcement that Gateway students have a 100 percent pass rate on the 2016 National Council Licensure Examination. This means that in addition to earning an Associate degree in Nursing from Gateway, every member of the 2015 nursing class passed the national exam. The 2016 class is well on the way to the same accomplishment.
