Scheduled for March 5 in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 17, 2017) — $500,000 in scholarship funds are being offered at the Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition, scheduled for 2 p.m. on March 5 at the Singletary Center for the Arts in Lexington.
Launched in 2006, the annual competition at the University of Kentucky is the largest vocal competition in the state. The event is free and open to the public.
Alltech Vocal Scholars have contributed to Alltech’s philanthropic efforts in Haiti by teaching music to Haitian primary school children. They have also performed at numerous Alltech events, including the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in 2010 and 2014, the company’s annual international conference, Ambassador dinners around the world, the annual Celebration of Song and The Gathering Ireland 2013.
